THE BATH

Melting into the porcelain basin,
Warmth engulfs my body
As I inhale the raspberry scent,
Almost tasting its sweetness.

I relax, recline, and close my eyes,
Welcoming darkness.
I surrender to the peacefulness;
Candles flickering, steam clouds billowing,
Slowly rising, taking my tensions with them.

Troubles?
Who cares!

There are none when I’m in my bubble bath.
